Korean infused food and immersive art pop up comes to Reno

A unique pop up opened its doors Saturday at Imperial Bar and Lounge. Thrice Pop Up featured its Korean BarbieQ take over at the bar.

Attendees ate Korean infused barbecue while surrounded by immersive art. The one of a kind pop up is the first ever in Reno according to Thrice Pop Up founder Abigail Plonkey.

“Thrice is really focused on three things: food, drink, and design. All of our immersive temporary experiences are surrounded by those three pillars,” Plonkey said.

She continued, “I feel like Reno really chose us, it’s a very arts centered town, and with Burning Man coming up we felt this was a great opportunity.”

The launch hosted 300 people. People can enjoy the pop up each night. There will be specialty food, art installation, drinks and music.

The pop up is originally from Denver and is opened until November.
